Dil Deke Dekho: A Day of Golf, Grit, and Giving Life in Hyderabad

At Gifting Life, we believe that every act of kindness has the power to create a ripple effect. On February 15, 2026, that ripple became a wave of support at the Hyderabad Golf Association Club during the “Dil Deke Dekho” Charity Golf Tournament.

Organized in aid of the MOHAN Foundation, this event was more than just a game; it was a powerful gathering of 104 players united by a single noble cause: supporting organ donation and transplantation.

A $41,000 Step Toward Saving Lives

We are incredibly proud to share that the collective efforts of the Gifting Life community and our partners resulted in raising $41,000 (USD) against our ambitious target of $50,000. While we are still chasing that ultimate goal, this achievement represents a remarkable 30% increase over last year’s collection. This growth is a testament to the hard work of our members and the success of the awareness campaigns by GiftingLife Team. Seeing this momentum only provides us with more motivation and a clearer roadmap for the goal we’ve set for next year!

A Fairway to a Second Chance

The atmosphere on the greens was electric, but the heart of the day belonged to our special invitee, Mr. Karhun Nanda. A heart transplant recipient who traveled from New Delhi, Karhun served as a living testament to the transformative power of organ donation. His presence on the course reminded every participant that a donor doesn’t just save a life—they restore a future.

Tournament Highlights & Results

The tournament was played in the Stableford – 2 Ball Scramble format, a popular team game where the best score of two partners counts for each hole. After a spirited afternoon of 18 holes, the following champions were recognized:

  • Team Winners: Mr. G. Krishna Rao & Mr. Daksh Baswa
  • Runners Up Team: Mr. CAPT S V Ramana & Mr. Tarun Kumar Varma
  • Closest to the Pin (7th Hole): Mr. K. Tarun Narayan
  • Closest to the Pin (16th Hole): Mr. Vasant
  • Longest Drive (17th Hole): Mr. Tarun Ajay
  • Straight Drive (13th Hole): Mr. Vasu Thanneru

The excitement extended beyond the course with a fun lucky dip, where participants won Amazon coupons, professional golf bags, and even a golf tournament trip to Thailand!

Voices of Impact

The evening ceremony featured moving speeches from leaders who have pioneered this cause since 1997. Dr. Sunil Shroff (Managing Trustee, MOHAN Foundation), Mrs. Lalitha Raghuram (Country Director), and Mrs. Jaya Jairam (Project Director) commended the supporters for their life-saving contributions.

We were also joined by Mrs. Shahista, a kidney recipient, and Mr. Mohan Nistala and Mr. Rajesh Agarwala, who shared their insights on the mission. A major highlight of the evening was when renowned Cine Director Mr. Sailesh Kolanu officially pledged his organs, inspiring many others in attendance to follow suit.
