Gifting Life celebrates World Organ Donation Day on August 13th

On 13th August, Gifting Life commemorated World Organ Donation Day with a powerful campaign aimed at raising awareness and encouraging people to pledge their organs. This year’s efforts were not just a one-day event but a movement, reaching far and wide to inspire individuals to take action and become organ donors.

Youth as Catalysts for Change

In the weeks leading up to the day, Gifting Life strategically engaged high school students, recognizing their potential as influencers within their communities. These young participants were encouraged to start conversations about organ donation with their peers, parents, and local circles. Their enthusiasm and sincerity helped break the silence around this sensitive topic, sparking curiosity and inspiring others to become organ donors.

A shout-out to Adithi Mandava

The success of this campaign was a shared accomplishment. Every contribution, from the high school students who started important conversations, was essential. A special mention goes to Adithi Mandava for her outstanding dedication, leading to the highest number of organ donation sign-ups during the campaign.

Saket, a Product Manager at Google who was inspired to sign up as an organ donor due to Adithi’s efforts. Adithi’s message—”The best way to leave a legacy is to pledge your organs”—struck a chord with him, illustrating the profound impact that one person can have.

Expanding Reach with Digital Collaboration

This post will be incomplete without the special mention of Gifting Life’s partner, AdOnMo.

AdOnMo is India’s largest digital screen network. Gifting Life worked with them to make sure that these posts are running across India on their digital billboards that are available across 16 cities covering 3700+ gated apartment communities.

To extend the campaign’s reach, Gifting Life collaborated with AdOnMo and targeted over 3,000 apartment complexes across India. This partnership enabled the campaign to connect with a diverse range of communities through digital billboards, interactive kiosks, and online advertisements. These efforts helped spread the message of organ donation far and wide, reaching people who might not have been aware of the cause otherwise.
